Berry and Mod were both born and bred with every intention of being
show/performance dogs and adding to the breeding record of Eire IWS. However many changes both in their personal circumstances and in the larger kennel picture caused them both to retire early from the ring. They have since
become our major young housedogs, with their own jobs to keep them busy.

Berry comes from hunting lines on both side of her pedigree and still
insists on hunting for tennis balls and bumpers - all day if she could. She
is speedy and tireless. If one of the other dogs gets 'her' ball she will
follow persistently until they give it up. Her biggest aggravation is when
Morgan will pick up all the 'good' balls in his mouth at the same time (his
record is 3 at a time) and walk around with them, ignoring her begging. She
also loves kissing her mom Emmy, flirting with Morgan and all food
especially lettuce.

Mod is a solid mellow girl with a loving personality. Her nickname is
Warrior Mod as she is an instinctive watchdog, keeping an eye out for errant
trespassers and making sure all is secure throughout the house. Her favorite
perch is on top of the blue chair where she can see out the front door
window and all the living room windows. Her biggest aggravation is when the
big state snowplows go by during a big storm, darkening the windows and
noisely pushing snow against the house. She loves to sleep at the foot of
our big bed, just like her mother Penny, and to go for walks in the local
parks.

Lucy is the bouncy, feminine daughter of Connor and Gracie. Lucy's call name came from Lucille Ball, as Lucy the IWS was very outspoken as a pup. Her registered name is derived from "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds by the Beatles". Appropriate as she jumps high and long!!!

Lucy went to live in Boston in 2007 with the Meades. She was joined by
another IWS but still rules the roost there.

JACK

Ch. Eire's North Coast Captain Jack

Born 10/03/2006 (Ch. Tara's Captain Morgan RN x
Ch. Waterbabies Pennylane Eire CD RN CGC)

Jack lives in Rochester NY with our son but came back to Waterdogs Farm to
finish his Championship. He earned a major as a young pup and finished his
CH in good form by earning two 4 point majors at the Newcastle, PA Memorial
Weekend shows on 5/24/ 09.

He is now back home with his friends walking, swimming and enjoying life.

Neala

Neala is a bright and lovely youngster, determined to extract as much fun as
possible out of each day. She has enjoyed her brief exposure to dog shows
and has earned 5 single points so far. She has natural agility and enjoys
obedience. Her nickname is the 'kitty dog' because she loves to climb up on
and lounge on the back of furniture. She is a great addition to our Eire
pack.
