Woody was an easy dog to train in all venues. He was an unstoppable enthusiast and so sociable that he was willing to go along with any agenda. He never needed E collar training, taking to marks and double throws naturally, very smart and has a wonderful nose. The only hunt training problem we had with him, and it was a minor one, was that once he was in the pond he wouldn't want to get out. Billy solved that by putting on a pair of waders and going after him. We started him training for CDX but unfortunately he has a wonky left hip and couldn't comfortably clear the broad jump. He has participated in retrieving and marking exhibitions at Brocton Central school and for Greenwings (Duck's Unlimited) days.
